After all the confusion at the beginning of the month, we now finally have a solid release date for Streets of Rage 4 on Nintendo Switch. It’ll be released on 30th April and will retail for $24.99.
The news has been confirmed by publisher and co-developer Dotemu, alongside co-developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games. It’ll also be launching on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the same day. The announcement brings with it a brand new trailer, which you can check out for yourself above.
The video gives us a first look at the game’s Battle Mode, a legacy experience returning from Streets of Rage 2 and 3. Here’s an official description:
This feud-settling battleground is bound to help rivals recognise who truly is Wood Oak City’s finest alley-clearing ruffian, as well as settle grudges spurred by accidental friendly strikes during multiplayer sessions.
Just yesterday, we were also treated to a first look at the game’s pixel art characters who are returning from past entries. Make sure to check that out if you missed it.
So, 30th April is confirmed, then. Will you be buying it on day one? Tell us below.
