Team17 has confirmed that it is bringing Wonderscope’s Hokko Life to PC.
Described as a “colourful community life simulator”, Hokko Life lets players “create, craft, and explore” within the town of Hokko, interacting with its animal inhabitants, catching bugs, fishing, building houses and even creating unique items – such as furniture and clothing – to share with other characters in the game.
Sound familiar? It’s clearly heavily inspired by Animal Crossing, but also gives off some Stardew Valley vibes as well, if you ask us. Farming plays a big role in the game too.
British-Swedish developer Robert Tatnell, founder of Wonderscope Games, had this to say about the announcement:
I’m incredibly excited to announce I’ll be partnering with Team17 on Hokko Life. Debbie Bestwick and the team have been wonderfully supportive of me as a developer and I really believe they are a perfect fit for the game. Bringing their experience and expertise on board means Hokko Life can truly become something special, and I simply cannot wait to welcome players to the world of Hokko!
Given Team17’s support for the Switch, we could well see Hokko Life come to Nintendo’s console in the fullness of time. Would you be interested in seeing this Animal Crossing clone on the eShop? Let us know with a comment.
